Parchovany / Parnó village was acquired by János Molnár as a royal endowment in 1672. A big quadrangular castle was built for the family here. One of the later owners, Count Manó Andrássy, had it completely rebuilt and had an orangery attached to it. Parchovany had 900 Slovak inhabitants in the 1850s. - Bibliography: Zemplén
