The ruins of Jasenov / Várjeszenő castle stand on a hill above Jasenov village. The castle was built for the Ráskai family after the Mongol invasion of 1241-1242 but in 1330 it had already been owned by the Drugeth family for some time. In 1644 it was besieged and destroyed by the troops of György Rákóczi I. - The pencil sketch on the verso seems to depict the castle hill of Vinné; cf. item 18.7. - Bibliography: Fényes Elek, Zemplén
