In front of us the winding Poprad and a flock of sheep on the riverside road. Vel'ká Lomnica is located north-east of Vel'ký Slavkov; from here the High Tatras look a bit different. Vis-a-vis we see the entrance into Vel'ká Studená dolina. - The Poprad takes its source in the Zips region, in the southern side of the High Tatras. One of its spring waters, the Hincov stream springs from Velké Hincovo pleso. The Poprad breaks through the Pieniny Mountains in a narrow gorge and, reaching the territory of Poland, joins the Dunajec at Nowy Sa,cz. - Bibliography: Kollár, Raisz, Szontagh 1888
