We have now come nearer to Vel'ká. In the wonderful weather, we can have a closer look at some of those parts of the High Tatras that Ender depicted from a closer viewpoint in other pictures. To the right of the Gerlachovský štít, we can look deep into the wide Velická dolina. In the opposite end of the valley we see the Polský hrebeň. Right of the Slavkovský štít, the lofty dark cliff closer to us is the Prostredný hrot (2440 m).
