Cruising upstream on the Váh we run into an open area opposite to the village of Krpel'any. In times past, it used to be the site of Ratkovo village, which was wiped out by an enormous flood in 1813 and later rebuilt on another site, it is now covered by gravel and sand. - We have been unable to precisely locate the place depicted here; neither could we decipher the partly trimmed inscription above the cliff to the left.
