Starhrad on the right bank of the Váh, above the neighbouring Strečno. Here, too, we can observe the bustling trade on the river. - The ruins of Starhrad, whose date of construction is unknown, stand on a barren mountain above Strečno valley. It was the owners whose negligence finally led to the abandonment of the castle, which had still been inhabited in the 1750s. In Strečno valley below the castle we see the fast flowing Váh deep down within the high mountains and cliffs.
